Online dating has become popular since most of the world is quarantining. “Today an estimated one-third of marrying couples in the U.S. met online, and as many as 15 percent of American adults have used dating sites or apps”, says, The Oprah Magazine. Most people feel nervous just by the thought of talking to a stranger online. But do not fear! I am here to give you 5 tips about online dating you SHOULD know.

· Being active on your dating profile is the best way for your dating profile to be more visible to others. The less you are on the app, you will not get that specific match you want.

· When making a profile try to steer more towards your interests rather than interests you have in others. More will swipe right for you if they have common interests! Do not ever rush anything!

· If you happen to go out on a date, make sure to send your location to a close friend. There are many crazy people in the world and there is not knowing what could happen.

· Try showing all your angles on your profile. Having to show up on a date not knowing how tall or skinny a person is, is nerve-racking.

· Lastly, be wary of red flags. Sometimes if something is too good to be true, it most likely is. Try to talk to them over facetime or if their photos seem unusual you can always check on google if you are getting catfished. Remember staying safe is top priority while dealing with dating apps.
